HSS Systems Human Services Software

Character Based Interface

The character based interface provides the quickest means for data entry. Menu items and data are entered directly from the keyboard without the need to use a mouse. Data elements that require specific data values have a selection window attached that a user can access by pressing the TAB key. The values that appear in the selection windows can be maintained by an administrative person from your agency so when you need to add codes, it can be done immediately. All software in the software suite above is available in the character based format. Existing users enjoy the speed that this version provides, especially when they are on the phone trying to look up and provide information.

Windows Service Entry for Laptops

The Windows based service entry module was designed for caseworkers to use on a laptop out in the field. The data is loaded onto the laptop in the office, then the caseworker enters the data about the service as soon as the service occurs. The services are then downloaded back to the server for billing and productivity reports. In addition to the service information, case notes can also be entered at the same time. A Service Documentation form can be printed that includes the service data and casenotes.

Web Browser Interface

Internet and Intranet technology has provided some of the most significant new approaches to application development to enter the mainstream in the last several years. This approach to application development and deployment combines the efficiency of high-speed transaction servers and thin client workstations with the power of ASP, JavaScript, and DHTML to provide a modern expandable and easy to maintain software application. HSS is currently moving key parts of the comprehensive Human Service Software suite to a web based interface that provides powerful applications delivered to the desktop in a browser window with all the speed and reliability of server based applications. The only program needed on the users computer is a standard web browser.

Clinical Applications
Clinical Applications provides three tools to assist clinicians in treatment of their clients.

County Provider Application
The County Provider Application allows providers within a county to perform various tasks that will speed up and improve the flow of data between the provider and county. A provider can request an authorization, check the status of the request, then print the authorization if it has been authorized. The provider can also enter claims directly into the system or upload a HIPAA compliant 837 billing file.

CYS Application
Children and Youth Service information can be entered through this web application. Individual and Family records are created, pulling information from the main system where available. Family Service Plans and Reviews, Child Permanency Plans and Reviews, a Risk Assessment Form, and Incident Tracking can be entered. Using the Incident Tracking, a Referral Form and the CY 48 can be printed from the system. Payments can also be entered and tracked in the CYS applicaiton.
